Our Staff

ACS! teachers are not just normal teachers – they are the cultural bridge that helps African students to relate to British education.

ACS! has worked hard to build up a team of teachers who are qualified, committed and caring. ACS! students know that their teacher will arrive on time, will be able to control the class, will know what s/he is teaching, will be strict about homework. ACS! students know that they will see the same teacher each week, not a series of supply teachers. An ACS! student knows that the teacher cares about her/him as a human being and understands the specific challenges s/he faces as a diaspora African. An ACS! student knows the teacher is fundamentally on her/his side. Perhaps that is why we have so little really bad behaviour in ACS!

ACS! is proud of its teachers  and our retention rate is very high. We are also fortunate in that we have been able to recruit an increasing number of teachers who teach or have taught in British schools and are therefore thoroughly familiar with the National Curriculum.
